FAQs
How do you request an interpreter from Kaplan?
How do you request an interpreter from Kaplan?
Send four things: the language and dialect, the date and time with the time zone, the setting, and the address or the video platform. That is enough for us to confirm whether we cover it and to put a written quote in front of you. Use the quote form, or call (833) 547-7770.
What do you need to know before you can quote an assignment?
The language and the regional dialect, the date and the start time with the time zone, how long you expect it to run, whether it is on site or by video or phone, the setting, and any credential the venue requires. If a court or an agency has told you the interpreter must hold a specific certification, say so in the first message.
Do you cover assignments outside California?
What if the language I need is not listed on your site?
Ask anyway. We cover more than 200 languages and dialects and the bench is wider than the pages we have published, particularly in indigenous and less commonly requested languages. The languages page is a starting point, not the limit.
Can you work with a law firm's billing and compliance requirements?
Yes. We hold NDAs and business associate agreements on file before the first assignment, the interpreter and the credential are named on every confirmation, and we are a certified woman-owned and minority-owned business, which closes the supplier diversity line in a procurement file. See our certifications.
